So the adventure has continued. Before moving on to attempting cupcakes, I actually made my boyfriend some chocolate mint brownies. They turned out amazing. I will be posting the recipe shortly. He took some home to his mother, and she loved them! Which of course made me feel really good!

Anywho...The adventure continued with some poorly baked cupcakes. I have no idea what is going on lately, my knack for baking has flown right out the window and nothing is turning out beautifully like it normally does! So my cupcakes weren't the prettiest to start with. But I learned how to make some pom-pom flowers ( I just have to work on keeping the length of the petals even), mastered making leaves, and even did some shaggy mums! Overall the experiance was awesome, the cupcakes may not have looked professionally done, but they were still my own little creations.

On Sunday, I was showing my mom and grandma some cake decorating techniques and decided to attempt a ribbon flower. Pretty simple, or so I thought. The flowers turned out really pretty for my first attempt, they just kind of expanded and got bigger than I wanted them to. But I discovered my mistake, the icing was way too thin to be attempting a flower. It was of a medium to mediumly thin consistancy, so the flowers kinda drooped a bit. Oh well! I shall master them eventually!
