I upped the rice and cut down on the water to make it thicker and a little more like a curry than a soup. Quick and delicious!

This came out restaurant-quality, no joke. Skip the business with the sesame seeds and the coffee grinder - I did not miss them at all. Throw them in the marinade in the AM and have dinner ready in about 20 minutes in the PM, along with some minute rice. (FYI, I broiled them and they still came out with that perfect light char.)
